Not sure about layer II vs. layer III, but there’s other obvious differences. Dunno how much of that you can set up.
There was a bit of noise from the mike/cable rubbing, but the quality of your voice seemed better. I liked the hue of the photo as well, and congrats on the Wired review!
I agree here. The sound quality got a good upgrade. Ya, there was some extra background noises but I’ve got no problem with that. Even the barking dogs sounded better. 😉
This sounded GREAT today, almost like one of your book podcast. Not really but close. Picture very good I liked it a lot.
I am of cource comparing this to your past TOMMW recordings not your books.
Picture much better. I could see individual blades of grass. Sound much better and sounds outside such as dogs and cars were very muted compared to the old phone. Nice choice. One app you may want to get is appkill or appkiller. You can then choose which apps you are using or choose to use at that time, but close off the ones you don’t want until you need them. Saves battery big time. Some functions try to be on all the time, but bleed batt. juice.
I agree with the others. Your audio sounds better: improved quality of sound pickup combined with slightly more bass and less tinny in general. Nice. The photo quality is also showing some improvement. As long as you don’t prove to be as clumsy as Avery Wyatt you should be just fine with that new, larger phone. 😉
Oh, wow – the voice quality on this phone is, like, 110% better than your last one. Beautiful!
The sound is much much clearer, but you do need to figure out some way of the cutting out the cable/mike rubbing sounds
I didn’t mind the cable rubbing sounds, because the quality of the sound was so very much better. I know I’ve been very surprised at the quality I’ve gotten with my iPhone earbuds for recording.
Sounds like you are loving your new phone. And that is all that matters!
