Day 596: Hobble On

I’m still having significant amounts of pain and swelling in my feet. I walked anyway today — then came home and took more drugs.

The angle is caused by my complete in ability to see the screen in bright light. I have almost no ability to frame the shot.

I have been out of town for over a week and missed your talks all this time. But one thought I had listening to your symptoms is a little different. Have you checked with your Dr. about having gout? Extremely painful, swelling in the joints (big toe especially) so the swelling is usually across the ball of the foot. Thing is, protein is a no, no, and you need colchicine or allopurinal as they attack the uric acid needles, er, crystals. May be something to look into.

actually, colchicine is for something else. Allopurinal is for gout. Takes a while, but you do need to reduce some proteins such as red meat for instance. Bummer, I know, but pain is, well, pain. Gout is VERY painful.
