I think your cafepress stuff would do better with some of the later ships, after all the Lois is many stanyears ago, is it still even part of the company fleet? Perhaps something with the Golden Age of the Solar Clippers and a logo on it. You don’t have to go all “Solar Clippers do it with Light”, but I am sure you get the idea. And of course I would rather you spent your time on more stories, even whipping up another novella, in between your contracted stories, secret projects and production efforts.
Part of it, as you said, is he is more into actually writing, than pushing stuff in the stores. It’s much like the fan forums over on http://durandus.org/fans/index.php – fun resource, but Dr. Lowell just doesn’t have the time to push it.
And I agree with you – I would love a set for the Lois McKendrick, the Bad Penny, the William Tinker, the Agamemnon, and the Iris. For that matter, there’s supposedly floor plans floating around somewhere, and other bits & bobs to geekgasm over.
Wait, wait – the Copyright Symbol was a *graphic*, and not simply a character? Unicode actually has an official character for it, and two others that substitute for it nicely… HTML has a character entity – ©
CreateSpace sounds rather … stupid. I have to wonder that any images should be run through Gimp to set the DPI values by brute force to nice high values, as bitmap images really shouldn’t need to carry DPI values stored in their file formats.
