The humidity is through the roof here. Not that much by low-land standards but practically dripping wet for here. Something about 15″ of rain, no doubt.

Hi Nathan,
I am glad to hear that you and your family are OK so far.
Thanks for giving us an update of what is happening around your area.
Take care!
Sandy
I’m not sure I should be listening to these stories again – I got to listening to Full Share, and starting considering Pip’s reaction when he and Ish met up with Pip’s father. The severity of his reaction… strikes me as the reaction of someone more or less abused to some degree… Probably unintentional, and very realistic… But it makes me wonder at how far we have to go in learning to to relate to other people…
Hi Tara,
I recognized it as the reaction of a person who has been trying to juggle a lie for quite a while, and has been feeling more and more bad about, and is scared of his father finding out. Ask me how I know! Lol!
Fair enough – but still… It’s the “scared” part that bothers me.
Hi Nathan,
A while back I think talked about someone who was working on what was going to be a great book about podcasting. I thought it was Daniel J Sawyer, but haven’t seen any books like that by him. Anyway, I’m looking to do some recordings for language learners and was wondering if there are any books or websites you’d recommend for up to date tips, along with ideas for a basic home studio.
And since I have you here, 😉 have you read any good books lately? I just finished “Temporary Duty” by Ric Locke, and thought it was great. I was saddened to discover that he passed away last year.
Dan’s book – Making Tracks – is one of the best and certainly most current.
Highly recommended.
Thanks!
“A while back you talked about…” Sigh. Time for bed!
I always thought Pip’s problems with a simple test to be indicative of something or other. Too much pressure maybe? I don’t really need a separate book about Pip (maybe a short story sometime), but I have always wondered how he got through the academy with his test anxiety.
