The solstice occurred last night at 8:42 PM MDT. An auspicious time to get back into the groove. The days will be getting hotter as the season goes on (and it was 100F yesterday), but the sunrise will be getting later, slowly at first but closer to where I an walk in it.

Talked about lessons from my father, my current read (Cássio Ferreira, Handyman, book 1 of Hidden Class), and the state of summer. Met one of my familiar faces on the path and it felt good.

I forgot to fix the settings for airplane mode, etc, so there may be some artifacts. Sorry. I have to retrain myself…

I walked. The talk, however, foundered on a technical issue.

I figured I better put up some signs of life this morning when I realized that I hadn’t even posted all month.

The mornings have been almost universally dreary. Those that weren’t have been days when my schedule included workmen coming to the house, too many tasks requiring too much time, and days where I lost the morning window when the temps were cool enough to be outside.

I keep hoping to turn this ship around but so far, I’m being swept along willy-nilly.

I am, however, still alive. At my age, not a mean feat.
