As has been said here before, just because a tactic worked before doesn’t mean it is the right tactic for right now. On the walk front, for the winter maybe it needs to be Talking on My Mid-day Walk (or mid-afternoon, if that’s when it’s warmest).
On the writing front, I think you should be giving yourself a “win” for sitting down to write and a “big win” for getting words on the page in any quantity. You might give yourself a break and not compare this pace to a “full Lowell” 15,000 word burst. A slower but sustainable pace might be just the thing for right now.
