Re: Doc discussing getting old: A few years ago Dr. Ezekiel Emmanuel (brother of former Chicago Mayor/Obama WH Chief of Staff) who is described as a “medial ethicist,” advocated for people to willingly die at age 75. Personally, whenever I read of someone being described as a “bioethicist” I want to reach for a gun, as they almost inevitably want someone dead, whether it is a senior citizen, a person with Downs syndrome, or a child of 4 “whose mind isn’t fully formed.”
