Book One: Apprentice (if you had enough for four books: freshman/sophomore/junior/senior). Alternate: NOOBS!

Book Three: Master. Alternate: SALTED!
It’s interesting that, although you have repeatedly refused to revisit Ishmael’s Academy years, you aren’t averse to writing about other people’s school years.
RE: Wizard’s Cat: nice to get a description. One idea for naming might be to let the spongeholders suggest names at the main Solar Clipper group on Facebook. If a name is chosen there, the person suggesting it gets a credit in the book acknowledgements.
