At Some Point …

…it’s going to get warm enough for me to go outside with fearing for my appendages.

We’re up to double digits! Yay!

They’re both ones. Boo.

Tomorrow, maybe.

I’m thinking those numbers should be 3s! The forecast I see says that looks like maybe Thursday. Unbelievable to have it so cold for so long.

I’d be happy with 2’s. It’s very odd to have sub-zero and single digits during the day for such a long stretch here.

Probably just as well that I’m sitting tight today.

Almost certainly as well – unless you have thick gloves, thick parka, thick hood, face mask, thick boots, and a portable Weather-o-Matic checked out from the Lois.

Reminds me – someone on your twitter feed asked about kindle copies of Hermit early…

Did you see Sigler’s rant on ARCs, and what’s your take on the topic? After all, between podcasts before the books come out, print on demand, and now letting us see the first draft almost as you type it this NaNoWriMo, you don’t have a lot of horse in the ARC race.

    • Nathan says:

Yeah, the perception is that I’m sitting on completed books in order to meet some schedule. The reality is that I publish as soon as I can so there’s no “early” available.

I missed Sigler’s rant on ARCs but because I don’t promote books the same way everybody else does — by sending out ARCs and filling up the reviewer queues in order to make a splash on release day — they’re really not anything I worry about. I regularly have arguments with marketing experts about how effective all this stuff is on the grand scheme of things. I seldom convince them.
