Nathan, I am glad to hear the book is going along well, and it is fun being a part of the conversations in the FB group, as well as hearing from you every morning. Also if you are able to walk 6 days out of 7 then keep it up.
One of the things I really like about your books is that they are not military Science Fiction. It seems like most of the SF books I pick from the covers turn out to be military types, and I’m really not interested in those although given a really good description and either a free book or a good sample, I may read them. So, for keywords, I was thinking non-military, but that seems too negative, but how about civilian Science Fiction?
What drew me to your first Quarter Share was how similar it was to Bertram Chandlers Grimes series. I’m not saying they are the same, as you say no military, it is the characters and their interaction, naval analogies, and the main character is really just another guy with life changing choices, little control over his life but occasionally in the right place at the right time. You can sympathize with the lead character in both. I’m not so sure about Heinlein, as a keyword, his books were edgy to me and not always in a good way. I could not always empathize with Heinlein characters, yet Ishmael yes!
Bertram Chandlers books are now available in Audio format, I am hoping when I am finished going back through his entire series you will be close to a new Audiobook/Podiobook. Crossed Fingers.
