Day 1060: NaNo NaNu

I got out early so I could get the walk in without interrupting the flow very much. I’ve got just about enough time to scarf down some oatmeal and post a file before I taxi the kid to school, stop for groceries on the way home, and hit the therapist’s office at 9.

Wish me luck. LeeeeeROOY JENKiiiinnnns!!

Okay, before I start listening to todays’ pod cast, was Leroy Jenkins pulled from a character Flip Wilson played or, one of 4-5 other references to the name I can come up with? 🙂

Sorry for doing a second comment. I should have listened to the first half before jumping in with both feet. I settled on the reference you meant. :p

I won’t spoil it for any others guessers that listen in.

You sound more chipper and there’s a bit of a genuine feel of contentment for your next few days.

  3. Jamie Laure Wyrick says:

Yeah, that’s the reference, Nathan. Sigh.

Have a wonderful day at the keyboard when you can. 🙂

    Jamie 🙂

I really hope going with Podium works out well for you. I’d hate to see you locked into a crappy situation like what happened with Ridan way back when.

Kind of funny hearing you explain that the post might be late so that we won’t worry. Of course we can’t hear that until it is posted. 🙂

As for the audio, I am kind of looking forward to hearing it by the new voice. I think it will be just as good. I do like your voice, but as you say, “the reality is” that it is going be just as good by this new fantastic narrator. And it will sell tons of books, too.

The problem I have is that I won’t be willing to pay the Audible prices that I’ve seen. I’m wondering if these will get picked up on Overdrive like other audiobooks I listen to.

Meanwhile it looks like there will be another novel coming out. Cheers for NaNoWriMo.

The irony of that comment near the end of the podcast was not lost on me.

And I managed to get it out almost immediately, anyway.

The books SHOULD be available on whispersync so if you buy the ebook you’ll be able to pick up the audio at a very reasonable price. I think the max they can charge for that is $2.99 and Podium assured me they would take advantage of that opportunity to move a ton of audiobooks. 🙂
