When you talked about reading the reviews for Ahses and about people needing to be told why some of us think it rates the maximum amount of stars I keep thinking there are a lot of similarities in your style of writing and that of Anne McAffrey.
Her DragonWorld books also tell a story of simple folks just doing their job in what is for them a “normal world”. It has a menace (thread) a weird solution (Dragons) and a culture that is mostly a master/apprentice system. But in that simple setting she tells an amazing story of people doing their job in an outstanding way, and sometimes just a bit more. I love all of her books, I would buy them as soon as they were released knowing I would like the story. I have that same feeling with your books Nathan, I just love them all. 🙂 I can’t wait to read the nect one. So far I have read Ashes at least three times.
I’m glad you went back and re-worked the book. I’m now looking forward to the beta read.
Hi Nathan, nothing big, but I noticed on Quarter Share’s Amazon page has a blurb that says it and Half Share are $.99 through November 8.
