Day 150: Hugo Awards

No, I didn’t win a Hugo, but a story that I read for Star Ship Sofa did. Allen M. Steele was gracious enough to mention me in his acceptance. “Chuffed” best describes my mood over that one.

    Declare this NaLoWriMo!

I hope you do get to read some more books for Ridan (I am slowly losing faith in them) but not so many as to slow down your writing and reading your own books. I did love the one you did for Michael J. Sullivan but he is starting to price his books off my buy list at Amazon and there have been no more podcast. I do hope that is not a trend for the future. The 9 dollar range is about the limit I can make myself pay for a Kindle book and while his books are a very good read (I have all through Wintertide) I am now done due to price.

Well, Michael has no control over the pricing of the Orbit pre-orders, and remember that each book in the Orbit collection is 2 of the Ridan books.

They’re printing doorstops over there. 😀

This is great that you got public thanks for your reading of “The Emperor of Mars.” It was very good all around and worthy of the award.

I think I heard your job description this morning as author and reader. I like that!

The decision not to run for office sounds right to me. It was a good idea to consider, but it didn’t sound right to me. I was happy to hear that you do not plan to pile something else on just now. I’m also very happy to hear about the rest you are getting.
