Day 1973: Much Excite

Got the Wizard’s Butler back from Karen. Got the memory for the new machine. Many tips on what to do with my old hardware. I was pretty stoked up this morning.

    Hallo
Is anybody else having difficulty downloading this podcast?
I got Day 1972 Breezy but although Day 1973 Much Excite is showing, it won’t download – I’m using Podcast Addict – but it doesn’t work in this site either.
    New technology??

Not at all sure what excess user headspace might be!! Bu it downloaded today thanks….
I use Ubuntu 18.04 – been using a Linux based operating system for some years and I’m very happy with it. We have dual boot with Windows in a different partition but since getting rid of iPods we have no real use for Windows and rarely use it.

“Excess user headspace” is what happens when the person at the keyboard (the user – me, in this case) tries to do something that doesn’t work because they have a little too much air in the skull. 🙂

I use Bionic where I can install it native. I’m trying to upgrade my chromebooks from Xenial. While the repository has Bionic listed, it’s also “not ready” for use yet.

I recently learned that at least one of my chromebooks can be upgraded for more memory and more disk as well as being stripped of the Google firmware … which would be awesome!

Ok, air in the skull makes sense. Think we all suffer from that from time to time.
I love listening to your weather updates – and comparing it to mine. On Thursday, after a 71km train ride, the temperature will rise from 16 degrees to 32. That’s centigrade. I can’t wait to be warm!
You seem to like off the wall books – try Kira Jane Buxton’s Hollow Kingdom. I really enjoyed it.
