Hearing you talk about those memories of people was great. I find myself looking back and thinking of people and their impact on me as well of events. I remember looking up at Sputnik going by. I just looked up the date-I had just turned 11, 6th grade and a very pivotal year for me as well.
About the memoir–it does not have to be published. I keep telling myself to write stuff down. I know it will be good for me. I think it might be good for you, too. Your life has been rich and important. Your writing of it would probably be more interesting than my writing of mine, because you are a good writer. But both of our lives have been important and one of a kind. Any tips for someone who keeps putting off sitting down and writing?
Only tip I have is the one I have to keep reminding myself of every day.
The most important thing is to start.
