Day 214: NCW Day

Today I’m heading over to the monthly Northern Colorado Writers coffee. I talked a little about that this morning but a lot about advice I gave a new author who approached me for some assistance yesterday.

Yesterday’s Word Count: 0
Today’s Starting Count: 19,321

    Hi Nate,
Just in case you didn’t notice, this morning’s podcast stops just before the 5 minute mark.

I’m happy to say that the version of the podcast that I got ran the full 19+ minutes.

That is very exciting about you and daughter doing NaNoWriMo! What a concept! Good for everyone, including us.

It would definitely decide me if my child wanted to do something like that. Good for the both of you and I can not wait to see what comes from it. I hope both of you can release a book from this effort. I at least hope ED will learn something positive from this.

Seems to me we are all “branded”, right or not. I would think someone would realize that first impressions are important. I mean, someone who shows up for a job interview late, in casual clothes and crocs, is probably not going to get the job. An individual who shows up for a receptionists job in a law office or some such had better hide those tattoos or they won’t be there long. Impressions don’t have to be accurate, but they are definitely there. Seems to me the guy on the rant missed more than the point for his world. He missed it in general.
