Day 215: Snow Day

University and local schools closed for the snow. Many trees down. Some of the city is without power. It was a cold, soggy slog this morning.

This is at about 7am. Overcast and snow is blocking sunrise and almost obscuring the lights.

  1. You are braver than I Gunga Din! Don’t catch your death shoveling that snow. There is no shame in letting nature melt it for you!

Maybe you should put your education skills to work and attempt to educate the members of the writers group skills up to date.

I still think you could write a little “how-to” book on how to self-publish and use the social media to promote your work, put it out on Kindle, and make a tidy little amount on it. You’re amazed that writers haven’t figured it out yet, but many, if not most, will NEVER figure it out on their own. Really, you’d be doing a lot of people a big service. But AFTER Ravenwood 1 and 2, PUL-LEASE!

    Nathan,
I’d like to recommend another self publishing Author for Nathan Lowell Presents. However, I do with some reservations, his work is a little like “plutonium” to some it is a cheap source of energy, clean and natural, to others it is pure toxic waste. Greg Crites least toxic book is “Boy with Pale Skin.” You can find Greg at veinarmor.com or Podiobooks. Like you he narrates his own work and self publishes, he seems to have a lot to say about publishing houses and the self publishing business (not all of it obscene.) He has an addictive gravelly voice that can carry you through some funny, serious and/or horrific stories.
