Blog World Expo New York took up waaaay too much of my time and attention yesterday. I talked about that this morning and hope I’ve got it out of my system. I really need to write a lot of words today instead of wasting time with that stuff.

I spoke with my local stats guru and he agrees that the 9%/80% numbers are probably pulled from thin air, or are misquoting the stat.
The 9% on average might be right if you combine the essentially 0% with higher ones, like you said it really strongly depends on just what you are ‘selling’.
For example a company website (glorified flyer) probably doesn’t get a lot of mobile traffic, but a where are the nearest whatevers (ie need it now info) probably gets a lot of that kind of traffic.
