Day 408: Monday Again?

Seems like we just did this last week, didn’t we?

I talked about Nora Roberts a bit and then had a bit of a snafu at the very end. The recording cut off in mid word so I clipped the partial word and appended a “at the back gate” to close out. I have to either not put the recorder in my pocket or be more careful when I pull it out.

Maybe I need to give Nora Roberts another try, but (in the half of a book I got through) I found her painful to read. I think it was a combination of too many 2D characters I didn’t like, and seeing what was happening way before it arrived. You and Debora Geary tell a substantially story better story, IMHO :-).

That was my experience with Nora Roberts also.

And I agree on Nathan telling the better story to my liking. Still need to pickup one of Debora’s tales… sigh… so many books so little time. 😉

Start with the first one; just be sure to pick a day when you don’t have to do anything else for the next 5-6 hours! (Otherwise they tend to cut into sleep time!)

Sigh, I shouldn’t write comments before coffee.

Ah, another author recommendation with Robert Parker. I’ve never heard of him. I plugged his name into my elibrary search engine and came up with a bunch of ebooks and audiobooks. I’ll give him a try with Book 1 of the Spenser series. I have to wait for it since it is on hold. I’m 3 out of 3 waiting and they have 2 copies. I pay $125 per year for this out of county library, but it is money well spent if I consider that one of his books costs about $10. I get about 50 books a year I think. 🙂 My county does have elibrary now, but not many selections yet. How is it in your area?

MT has a really good library to go and so far, so good. As with any library, they only have so many copies and so I forget I ordered something until I get the notice it is available, but then it is so easy to get and the price is right. We go into the county and use our regular library card. I have found it great. Doesn’t have everything I want, but what library does? I’ ll take it! The ebooks come in several formats and kindle is one for most books. No real complaints.
