Day 429: Muggy Mundane

Sticky after a weekend of drizzly rain. We get back to the mundane today.

Thanks again to John Hibdon for his terrific breakdown of the cast of characters in Ravenwood.

My husband and I bought a bread machine several months ago and have been quite happy with it. It doesn’t seem to make the kitchen hot at all, and has a timer feature so that you could load the ingredients in and have it begin the baking process at night, for coolness in the kitchen. Most recipes seem to call for 1 teaspoon of salt per 1 lb. loaf. One cup of bread or whole wheat flour=5 oz. Bread flour is listed as being 12.7% protein, white whole wheat flour at 13% protein.

I’ve had a bread machine in use weekly for many years, and agree with Janet J. above. Mine doesn’t heat the kitchen more than, oh, say, boiling an egg. In our smaller camper I did notice some heat built up, so I moved the bread machine outside on a small table and plugged it in outside. It worked just fine, though the camping neighbors thought it a bit odd to make bread at a campground.

Thank you for putting out your podcast. It’s motivating me to work out a system where I can also walk everyday. And I like listening to your process of writing vs. living struggles, and how you work them out. I’ve enjoyed reading Quarter Share and Half Share. I enjoy Ishmael Wong’s character, especially when he’s faced with difficulties, and look forward to more of your writing, and podcasts.

I hope you’ll post the character information up on Lammaswood!

I will post the character data .. and draw a map 🙂

The carousel box is just javascript I think. No flash involved.

And this looks so good, I might have to. The other side of the coin is that I probably should move all the peripheral blogging into the main. I’m not sure.

TOMMW is a unique application, as is “Nathan Lowell Presents” – I’m not planning on doing anything with them. And there’s so much on SolarClipper.com that I’m leery about trying to do anything more to it.

      Suggestions?
