At just before the 10 minute mark, I inadvertently turned the recorder off and didn’t notice for about 7 minutes.
You’ll hear me say “I wonder if Endomondo will tell me” … it did. It was about four tenths of a mile. But in checking that app, I botched the recording. Today’s recording is short.

Listening to podcasts while riding the tractor mower has been the best thing since sliced bread. And having 5 acres, I do my fair share of listening to podcasts during the “quick! whack it back before it grows again” season. 🙂
I like the new NathanLowell.com website. I’m not sure about the bit with the flash box in the middle – flash has for me always been mostly for games. (Or maybe it’s being done with HTML5 magic – I got lost way back when the graphics designers got involved and started wanting control of each and every pixel of your browser – but they could never quite agree on the standards to do so.)
Are plans under way to spruce other sections and websites up?
Was thinking about the website as I listened to this so perhaps I’ll just add a quick comment here. The author photo being used in the logo, cool and dandy. The author photo being used in the Nathan Lowell box on the right, cool and dandy. Both being visible at the same time… it may just be me, but there’s a weird multiple Nathans staring out at me vibe. The hello world post will get pushed down so that Nathan head is fine.
Perhaps a different photo for the Nathan Lowell box? Just my 2p, it’s a small thing but I think it’d help.
Lemme run this by Allie. We put the image in the right sidebar first and it showed up in the logo after so maybe one or the other might work better.
Cool. As I said, just a thought. Other than that the site looks really good. She did a first rate job 🙂
Oh yes, and then the upcoming appearances slide comes up in the ‘featured stories’ panel… Ahh! 3 different sized Nathan heads all staring out at me! 😀
I like the new site, nice layout and good access to information.
One question, I don’t see any link to the fan-forum, are you planning on phasing it out or did it just get overlooked (by you/Allie or me)?
