I hope today went at least as well as last time!
I’d love to hear some stories about Louis McCendric(?). There’s got to be a lot of potential there for stories; suddenly I’m thinking of the revolt in “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.” Those stories could really be told with a darker cast.
About the leases, 100 years sounds way too short a time to rent a planet. 200 or 300 years would be more in line with what I’d expect, though it does give the potental for a coorperate oligarchy.
No, 100 years is about right. By the time 100 years has passed, there’s likely been so many new laws and regulations laid out that the contracts need to be re-written.
