   My family tends to wear some orange as well for the same reason.

   To simplify things a bit..
   Green is the Irish Catholics
   Orange is the Irish Protestants
   the White on the flag is supposed to basically represent peace between the different traditions of the country.

     Thanks! That’s what I *thought* but .. walking along without benefit of reference .. I wasn’t sure. 🙂
