Good stories. She sounds like she was a wonderful woman.
I found it interesting, as well, how you dropped into a very strong accent for this walk. I expect it’s your Maine accent, activated by talking to family members still back East. But it gave a flavor to the stories exactly why, while being a great author, you’re also a great narrator of books, both your own, and others.
Interesting. I’m quite sure it was entirely a conscious choice. That is I assume(d) that, talking about her, it seemed right to refer to her using the accent of his childhood — not that Nathan was unaware of doing so.
Thanks for sharing. From what you’ve said over the last couple days, I think I can see shades of her in some of your characters. Maybe someday she’ll be one. . .
On another note, I think it be great to have you narrate “Charlotte’s Web”. Although its nice to have it read by the author, but E.B. White didn’t quite have the chops for it. You could bring authentic Maine where necessary, leave it out where not. You could emote and have inflection. Not like you need another thing on your plate.

I agree, wonderful stories.
I also noticed the shift in accent, I’m sure is was unconscious but it added something.
