I’m thinking it’s wind noise? I’ve tried both vlc and mpg123 for playing – it shows the same specs in mpg123 as it’s been showing for a while, so I think it almost has to be wind noise.

No problem. Such happens. Is it wind noise?
No. My earbud wasn’t fully sync’ed. You can tell by listening to the last few seconds when my voice becomes clear again when I take the phone out of my pocket.
Sorry ’bout the earbud thing, but 700 sales is… wow.
