I started recording earlier this morning so there’s a little bonus listening for you to make up for yesterday’s mechanical malfunction.
Another gorgeous morning…

For me, it’s called connection. The feeling that even in this extended way, and that I am but a wanna-be writer, that I am connected to an actual author of exceptional skill. Maybe some hope of something of that talent would rub off and become a part of me. That is why I LOVE listening to your “ramblings”. Connections, in essence. And thank you for doing this every day! You’re an inspiration!
To me, this reminds me of the less story-style, more rambling writings of Mark Twain. The informality of the unedited thoughts feels more honest, in some respect.
Much better than the “PocketCast” 🙂 I listen, because you are pleasant to listen to. I often find things to think about in what you have to say on a variety of topics. It is often here that I get the first notice of something up and coming of a literary nature, yours and others. Nuggets from a nice sounding voice–that’s it in a nutshell, I guess.
Listening to you, I always imaging myself as one of the followers in Forrest Gump. You know, when he runs across the States with a crowd behind him ? Watch over your shoulder, we’re following. 😉
As you give us the privilege of being able to listen to you on your walks, please don’t apologize or stress when something goes wrong ? It makes me feel “cheap”. hehe
It is amazing to me how much of your daily ramble is the heart and soul of your books. Just a couple of days ago I finished for the third time the podcast of the Solar Clipper books. Listening to these walk rambles helped me relate to the books better. I know that it may sound silly but by you giving me this little window into the life of Nathan Lowell helps me enjoy your writing (well lately your planned writing NOT done LOL) just a little more and for that I thank you.
