My take, which is worth nothing in the grand scheme of things, is that you hate Gredoc and have finished with Ishmael, at least the first six books, and so who wants to write and edit, etc.? Not you. You want to hit greener pastures and write a new Nathan Lowell story but you won’t let yourself have “fun” until you get your “work” done and, well, take it up with your therapist. Have fun with that.

    • Nathan says:

heh. You’re probably very close to the mark on that.

I’m *not* done with Ishmael — there’s a ton of stories left… but I can’t get to them until I finish my vegetables. 🙂

      • Leila Burrell-Davis says:

This is an unwarranted slur on vegetables! Stop worrying about what your ungrateful progeny will eat and get down to your local farmers market. There are fantastic vegetables available at the moment. Just what you need to put a zing in your step.

Get some baby tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers, courgettes (zucchini), onions and haloumi cheese. Cut into chunks and put in a bowl with your favourite marinade. Put on to skewers and barbeque until starting to caramelize at the edges. Serve with rice and some freshly picked broad beans. Even your daughters will eat them.

End of rant. Sorry about that – my vitamin C level must be a bit low 🙂

    Hi Nathan,
Don’t you know that we do not own cats, they own us. 🙂

I think that most people would like to have more joy and happiness in their lives. I know that I do. I like to share joy and happiness with others.

It sounds like the others in your home should pitch in with more of the work that needs doing. When I was still at home, I helped with a lot of the house work as I got old enough. – Even now my husband and I share the work that needs done.
It is not for one person to do all the work, even if that person enjoys it.

    Wishing you a great day.

    • Ignatz says:

Nate, I second what Sandy is saying. Work doesn’t have to be gender-specific, but shared, by all means. Everyone should pitch in.
