All right! I’m looking forward to this new story!
I would vote that the baddy gets wrapped up in this book. I like to see karma happen to these sorts sooner rather than later, and one of the things I also like about your books is that the episode is “complete”, for lack of a better word. (I feel manipulated, and irritated, when books end on a huge cliffhanger.)
As I think about it though, and it may be too late for this, there’s something more interesting in Tanith *not* finding her son. Perhaps it’s just a chance to introduce more caring, wishing, hoping he’s doing well, asking around a bit at garrisons, kind of a thing as a thread flowing through the stories.
