I love the irony of posting this as a comment…Don’t listen to commenters!

From a purely business perspective, can you just not read the negative s#1t? Do you really get valuable feedback from the Amazon comments?

  2. I kind of agree with Evan, though I understand if you can’t _not_ read them. 🙂

Re the guy who said he’d read Owner’s Share ages ago and asked why you were announcing it just now. 3 reasonable possibilities.

    (1) He got confused between “Captain” and “Owner”. They’re both figures in some form of ultimate charge. Perhaps he bought and read Captain’s Share and has got confused and not realised Owner’s Share is a different book.

    (2) He listened to the podcast “ages ago” and; doesn’t realise that your publication in text form is not around the same time.

    (3) He listened to the podcast and enjoyed it. He thought he also read it in text form, but is misremembering, and can’t keep track of which books are published in which media.

I have to confess that even listening to you talk on your morning walk each day I got really hazy as to which books had been published originally in e-book/paper form (ur, everything up to … Double Share? I forget), which have been (re-)published, which are being published for the first time, which are in e-book form but not yet in paper form, etc. I think I could _probably_ answer most of those questions correctly given sufficient time to think about it … but I can understand how someone else, especially someone who doesn’t listen to you almost daily, could get confused.

With that … I need to actually go and buy Owner’s Share now, since I haven’t yet. Going to do that _right_ now, and also check and see if there’s any prior ones I failed to buy (maybe Captain’s?).
