Day 802: Lovely Afternoon

Not. I waited, hoping the day would clear up. It didn’t–much. It stopped snowing, so that was a blessing.

Btw, this photo looks way more pleasant than it actually was out there.

Yes, move on and get the new work out, for your sanity, and all of us who are happy with past work as it stands. All authors develop (read the first and then latest work of the mainstream authors) and if we like the stories we readers stick with them. YOU ARE A GREAT WRITER.

  2. Anita Lewis says:

Great news! New words for next book!! Secret ideas for another one!!! Music to my ears and I’m sure it doesn’t make you unhappy either. πŸ™‚

  3. “There’s really only one thing he wants to invest in!”

    Does it involve breakfast? ;D

  4. Tara Li says:

If he has any sense, he heads back to Dunsany Roads, and invests in *PIP*. They made stupid returns on casual trading – how much better is Pip doing *THESE DAYS*?

Oh, and he probably could pay off the mortgage on Frank’s Place, if it has one. Investing in your father seems reasonable.

But coffee, sure. And DST’s Far-Jump Passenger Cruise subdivision. And making Rossett’s & Burnside’s lives a living hell.

  5. Chong Go says:

Please, please don’t make Ish loose all his money! If it’s tied up somewhere in investments, or Ish just ignores it because he likes the simple life, I’d be greatful! πŸ™‚

The one thing I really disliked about the Master and Commander series was that about every other book, Audbury would make a fortune, and then in the next book or so he would do something very stupid and loose it all. Then in the next book he’d be in the money again, and so on. For 20 books. The lack of any growth got really annoying.

I see a Galactic chain of “Frank’s Place”s!! “Ishmael Wang, breakfast king of the Universe”! Lol! πŸ˜‰

  6. David says:

The news that you have started on a new book is most welcome.

I hope you can make the time to keep working on the new book. Maybe you should set yourself a deadline to get the first draft finished, by say the middle of May.

I hope you don’t make Ish lose his money. The whole come into riches, then lose the lot is a rather tired clichΓ©.

  7. Tony says:

I’ll echo everyone else in saying that the total loss of the money would be a bit annoying. And actually having all of the money could also get old very fast so I would say having it stuck in some non-liquid state is the best way to go. πŸ™‚
