    1) Curse You Nora Roberts! (I have to admit, I know what you mean about her stories.) Have you read any of the In Death novels she’s written under the J. D. Robb nick?

    Good walk!

Yes, I read one of them. “Death At Midnight” or something. (I’d have to look it up.) It wasn’t any where nearly as engaging as her romances. And it was near-future SF at that. It just didn’t grab me.

I’ve been laid up for a bit, and went on a “Share” audiobook binge for the distraction, 😉 and I have to say those books are very, very good. They really are fine just as they are. Please don’t second guess yourself over them.

Christopher Nutall’s “A learning experience” was pretty good; it reminded me of Ric Locke’s “Temporary Duty.” BV Larson is also putting out some good stuff too. His “Steel World” sounded just okay, (normally I pass anything that sounds like “marines in space,”) but it really pulled me in, and was very well done. I’ve also been noticing that Craig Johnson (“Longmire”) is doing some amazing stuff with his pacing. I read his “Spirit of Steamboat,” and while it’s not a long book, it didn’t feel long or short. It was fast-paced, and felt exactly as long as it should be.
