Starhold by J. Alan Field. It has some problems but I’m enjoying it so far.

Nathan, I just completed Starhold, and about 2/3 of the way through the pace picks up and things get interesting. The biggest issue I have with the story is the author is bouncing back and forth between Mission to earth and what is going on at home. I realize that things are going on concurrently however it seems that it is you are going back and forth over huge distances every other chapter. It can get a reader a bit dizzy.
