I’m just taking a few minutes while I finish breakfast to post this, then it’s off to the library with my netbook.

Hope your day at the library is fun and full of ideas for you, Nathan. 🙂

If you have several novels in your head, and you can’t get around to typing them up or the notes for them, you seem to never really be at a loss for words when your talking, “Jamie grins wickedy at Nathan,” why not dictate them into your recorder for later consideration and/or typing them into note’s. I know I’d be willing to behave myself for you to try recording the story as you walked for typing up later in the day, or that evening, or that weekend.

‘Course, I’d hope you’d post a note to let us know you’re well and happy. 🙂

I agree with Jamie-Lauren, Nate. If nothing else try doing a talk and later transcribe (I’m sure you would have some volunteers willing to to the base transcription for you so you don’t loose time… hint hint 😉 )

Also, I know you want to get Cape Grace done… however if you have other stories clamoring to get written, write them! The way you have described your process in the past you have to jump on it when the characters are talking.

Once you’ve got some of the other tales out of your head, first you will have words on page which should help with the feeling of no progress, second the shamans tales may have solidified in the interim. Or at least you will have thinking space.

    • Nathan says:

I’ve tried to dictate the stories. It just doesn’t work. I need to *see* the words to know what comes next.

      • Jamie-Lauren says:

Having written in the past, I actually can understand what you’re saying, Nathan.

No hassle from me. If you need an ear to listen, or to support the can you need to kick from time-to-time, I’ll be happy to hold ‘er steady for you. 🙂

Ithaka Rising is available for pre-order and due out on June 28th. You must have received an advanced copy, lucky guy. I got the recommendation for the first book in her series from you and enjoyed it.

  4. Jen Keyes says:

I find my resonators decay some each day. I can’t go more than a few days before I’m in danger of losing one or more to decay. Also remember that you can charge portals regardless of range if you have a key. So you can walk by, hack to get a key if you don’t have one, and then proceed on while still recharging or gather more XM and then charge some more.
