Hope today is a good writing day. The map is a good thing, but it seems to have developed into a time-sucker. And really, a map is useful only if there is a book to put it in!
About the conflict in book 3. Tanyth was fearful and distrustful of her innate “magical” abilities that seemed to be starting to stir in R’wood—she feared becoming a crazy old woman in a house in the woods. If Gertie sees these abilities in Tanyth and wants her to accept and develop them, instead of simply learning more herbal lore, but Tanyth is reluctant and still fearful of what she might become—that’s an interesting situation, to me. Add in a second thread, of whatever type of crisis your fertile mind can create, that impels Tanyth to make a decision that will shape the rest of her life…..well. You know far better what will work, these are just thoughts that come to mind as I listen.
I hope the “other stories” in your life will be resolving themselves in positive ways. Stress kills creative energy.
