Day of Rest

I should be doing all kinds of things but I’m not doing any of them.

Just waiting to hear the verdict on my car. It went into surgery yesterday for a sudden starter failure.

Fingers crossed.

I, for one, am an audio only person. I read so much for work all day every day I can’t read for pleasure anymore. If you don’t want to do podiobooks, please don’t do audible. You are stuck with their player and it is a pit of despair for those of us who can’t listen on a smartphone or computer for various reasons (can’t bring it into the secured office area or device just too bulky for exercise use). Take a look at downpour.com and Tantor.com. I think downpour is probably the better option. There are a few others, but they don’t have that much traction. Good Reads might be another avenue, but I haven’t gone there for audiobooks.

Fire’s text to speech has gotten better over the years. Still not as good as a voice recording, but very nice to have available for most Kindle books.
